Dan Snell - CEO and Founder
Snell’s professional background has taken him from a small town Nebraska bank
officer to sales executive in some of the largest software companies in the world. After
successful years - achieving ten President Clubs - spent at ADP, CA, Inc, and Kronos,
Dan spent his next few years as a radio executive serving with the third largest faith-
based broadcasting network in America, Bott Radio Network. The career change from
technology to radio became a ‘no coincidence’ path to speaking and serving people.
Dan, along with his wife Rebecca are nationally recognized radio hosts, speakers,
authors and experts in the area of step-family dynamics. Together they have served over
50,000 families since 2005.
On Dan’s life journey, avocations became integral in his experience and led to the
success he’s had. Refereeing basketball was a profound lesson, climbing the ranks
from high school into the collegiate ranks; Dan also spent three years as part of the
NBA Referee Development program. His ‘Small Town USA’ upbringing also propelled
him to seek public office. Dan was elected five times. He has shaken hands with five U.
S. Presidents. Sports, business & political stories, loaded with humor are an integral
part of his messages. Dan has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows and been
guests for American Family Radio, varied television and radio morning shows, Trinity
Broadcasting Network, Bott Radio Network, Focus on the Family, regional ESPN Sports
Network affiliates and other networks.
DAN SNELL has been married to his wife Rebecca - herself a gifted and dynamic
speaker - for 15 joyful years. They are the parents to six children in a ‘yours, mine and
ours’ blended family. Together they are sought after speakers nationally. They are co-
authors of numerous columns, magazine articles, blogs and a fall 2011 book on
stepfamily dynamics. Dan and Rebecca hosted the 'first of it's kind' weekly live radio
program called ‘BLENDED FAMILY TODAY’.

Robert J. Sherwood - President
Michael brings a very innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial spirit to the USABFA. As
Chief Marketing Officer, Michael molds his years of experience as a business owner
and marketing consultant, with the marketing responsibilities of the USABFA. He has
been instrumental in the design and creation of the USABFA website, videos, marketing
plan, brand strategy, and all efforts pertaining to the USABFA social media outlets.
Himself part of a blended family, Michael knows first hand the challenges one faces
when trying to move past a previous relationship, when a child is involved. He has been
through the legal system and is now working with organizations and political groups to
advocate for fathers and custodial rights. He contributes articles regularly to several
online resources.
When not working, Michael spends his time playing hockey, being the best father he
can be and traveling from Kansas City to visit his fiancée who is studying exotic animal
training in the Los Angeles area. As he says often "She is the brightest up-and-coming
animal trainer this world has seen."

| Bob Sherwood has been president of a venture capital firm, an active investor in more than 25 technology companies, a 1995 winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, an adjunct-professor and an executive boardmember with successful Silicon Valley technology companies. Sherwood worked previously together with CEO Snell during the 2006 Kansas Gubenatorial Campaign as Sherwood and Snell put together the 'Economic Stimulus Package' for Kansas, a feat noted that was long before recent stimulus packages were discussed nationally. Sherwood has been called a 'Visionary' by his peers. A nationally recognized courtroom Expert Witness, Sherwood has been hired by 32 law firms over the last 15 years for research, consulting, expert reports or testimony for both plaintiffs and defendants. Sherwood will advise USABFA on courtroom programs and expert witness training and availability. Himself a blended family husband and father, Sherwood resides in both Rancho Mirage CA and Leawood, Kansas. |
Rebecca Snell's role at USABFA is to lead in the area of stepfamily life education, family
structure unity, developing all forms of tools, including faith-based resources.
Herself a child of divorce, experiencing two step-families as a child, Rebecca brings a
powerful and unique perspective to the organization. She is a nationally sought after
speaker and Family Life Coach. She is a mother, stepmother and grandmother.
Having raised six children in a 'yours, mine and our's' family she understands the
dynamics. Long before she ever knew she would walk through divorce and remarriage
challenges, her life was preparing her to serve others in this area. She studied Child
Development at the University of Hawaii. She also owned a research firm in the early
90's. She's worked with families and children for over 20 years as she developed
curriculum for organizations, corporations, public officials and Sunday school classes.
When speaking to audiences Snell shares compelling stories, over 40 years of real life
experience, as well as 10+ years of research, interviews with families, and study in the
area of stepfamily dynamics. She also is exceptionally knowledgeable as an expert in
